Hi, I have a loaded network, I need a basemap:
-needs to be high quality
-step by step please
-how do i match it to my area?
I've already tried exporting from Arcgis, but it seems low quality, even cranking up DPI, then it also doesn't match the area of my network.
One option, is to import the image directly into the Cube using the import Image layer control. Then use the "layer Alignment" tool under "GIS Tool" toolbar. Image not necessarily coming from ArcGIS nor it is scaled, you can use google earth or any other basemaps provider, zoom-in to area of interest and take a screenshot and save.
Hope this help.
Are you using .NET or a geodatabase file e.g. MDB or GDB? If .NET then Glen is correct, you can add a layer then resize it/scale it to fit your network.
If you are using or want to use a geodatabase then please read this thread: http://community.citilabs.com/t/how-to-add-map-not-as-image-only-in-background-background-of-highway-network-in-cube/860/2
@ Glennparaiso thanks, this is cumbersome however, as you zoom in the map does not readjust to higher quality.
@ Oliver We have a .net as an output but also an mxd. I was able to post the volumes in the MXD the volumes were in our LOS attribute.
