Feedback & Feature Requests
I often find myself flipping between tabs when working on a Cube project. I will sometimes even open a second instance of Cube in order to make use of my second screen. This comes in handy when I want to compare matrices or quickly test the effects of a script change.
It would be good to see a feature in Cube which supports multiple screens. Possibly by using undockable tabs like Rstudio. This would greatly improve my workflow and would reduce the memory usage of having separate instances of Cube open.
You can display the multiple screens visually in Cube Base using the 'Tab Mode Toggle' option.
Once you select the above option, the ''Tab Mode Toggle' button is activated in the top menu bar as below.
Please click it to show the sub-options to display the multiple screens in you preference.
You can also synchronize the multiple screens in either highway networks or matrices.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
Thank you for your reply Heejoo. I was not aware of the tab toggle option.
This looks to do what I need, however, I've noticed that it it not possible to move the cascaded windows outside of the Cube project window. This means I am not able to make use of my second screen. I know it seems a small point, but the extra space makes all the difference when working with a GIS tab.
Sorry for only just seeing this post. What I do sometimes is stretch my Cube window across both screens and then use the tab mode and move the windows such that I have one on each monitor.
